When I put my cursor on a group I have the option of viewing the items in that folder in a textual list view or thumbnail view. This is accomplished by selecting one of the two icons on the top right (4 squares or 4 lines). Heres my problem. I have GS 7 installed on 2 computers and these 2 icons do not show in the second computer so I can only see the list view. What am I doing wrong? Both computers are updated with the latest version of GS7.

this is because on 10.10 we do not support the thumbnail view. This was already discussed here:
