When I try to start an auction containing images, I get this error when it tries to upload images: “An error has ben received from the FTP server: Cannot open host: remote host closed control connection.”. This has worked for me in the past. Something up on the server?

You setup GarageSale to post pictures to your own FTP server. Why GarageSale cannot connect to your server is beyond our knowledge? Did you check that the server is up and running and the FTP service is enabled?

Duh, sorry! It’s been years since I set that up and I’d completely forgotten I was doing that - thanks for setting me straight. It would be useful to show the FTP server name in the error to make that more obvious, or perhaps show a link to FTP settings.
