  4. Restart GarageSale 7
  5. Import any listings you exported in step #1

What’s still missing

  • localized user interface for languages other than English and German
  • a user manual
  • fixes for yet undiscovered bugs

Thanks for using GarageSale,
Ilja on behalf of the iwascoding team

Wow, this is a very full update! I am especially looking forward to trying this…

Thank you

P.S. I forgot to tell you, every time I install an upgrade, as soon as GS closes and reopens Appcleaner automatically opens itself with all GS folders selected ready to be deleted :disappointed_relieved: do you know why??

Sorry, I don’t know that product. I guess you have to ask its creator.

@ilja, this is stratospheric! It drastically changes the use of GS in better, you should promote more this new feature! It is amazing and works so fine… thank you so much, it is an important step forward

Now I just have some troubles with memory, I upgraded it to 12 GB but I had to send back them because of kernel panic, I hope to solve soon since GS is getting around 2 GB when I use it :disappointed_relieved:

@ilja I saw GS taking up to 2GB of memory while uploading like 50 listings packed with plenty of images and content.

Thanks, we specifically test this scenario and search for memory leaks. Where does GarageSale upload your images to (eBay, our server, your own server) ?

Glad to hear you like it.

To your server. For me it starts in the morning around 100-200 MB, than it increases up to 2 GB at the end of the day (and yesterday I used it only for 4 listings).

Somewhere there’s a bug in the item duplication code that I can’t quite pin down.

Several times over the last week I’ve duplicated an item and it’s ended up with the title from the previous item I was looking at before duplication, but everything else from the correct item being duplicated. Deleting the wrongly titled one and doing duplication again always works fine.

I’ve been unsuccessfully trying to find a reliable reproduction but so far failed.

@ilja the images are store directly on eBay.
I usually do new listings everytime. I rarely do re-listings, I find that doing entirely new listings generates a new listing ID on eBay.

My garagesale directory is so far 12+ GB and growing, I’m learning to work with GS without having to upgrade anything. Patience is the number thing working for me before I upgrade the machine.

I will soon add an ssd and more memory to my machine.

Thank you

When attempting to “move the originals to:” feature it moves my new listing to the folder selected and leaves the original where it was…

It is exactly as it should work! It leaves the original with dashed icon in the same place, so you can use it as a sort of template to start several different auctions without doubling it every time. New and active listings are automatically moved to an archive folder so you cannot make the mistake to use them again. On the contrary, if you started many auction with the new auctions (blue icon) you would make a big mess, I did it and I really discourage you to try.

This new feature is really important. I have just a little note to make. I have a folder with nearly 1000 listing and it moves the new listing right to the bottom of the folder :disappointed_relieved: so I have to move across 1000 listings every time, but considering it is an increasing number (and damned slow motion)… it is not very comfortable. Is it possible to change the order? For example decreasing chronologically (from newest in the top and older in the bottom)?

Can you please check if the Beta 47 consumes less RAM when starting images?

Hello @ilja,
I installed yesterday the new ram  I will tell you something this evening, now it is less than 400 MB

It is opened from this morning and I used GS for several listing, the total memory is around 400-500 MB and never increased as before. Well done, you fixed it :grinning: thank you
