So my GarageSale quit unexpectedly yesterday when I clicked on ‘preview’ to switch from ‘live’ mode on a listing.
Now every time I attempt to open GS7, it crashes before even booting up.
Has anyone run into this issue? How can I get into garagesale if it won’t even boot up?
Can you please give the latest beta version of the upcoming GarageSale 7.0.17 a try?:
If this won’t help can you please open the Console utility (in /Application/Utilities) and look for output from GarageSale? You can use the filter field in the top right corner of the Console window to filter for relevant messages by entering “GarageSale”.

Okay so I downloaded the beta version, installed it and opened it and the same issue persisted! I went to the console app and found one output:

Thanks, this one looks much better. It seems a WebArchive file (which GarageSale uses to archive ended auction pages before they vanish form eBay) has gone bad and crashes GarageSale when it’s trying to load it.
Here is one thing you could try:
In the Finder choose “Go to Folder” from the “Go” men
Paste this path into the panel:
~/Library/Containers/com.iwascoding.garagesale7/Data/Library/Application Support/GarageSale/
In the folder that being opened, there should be a directory called AuctionWebArchives. Move it to Trash and try starting GarageSale again.
