 super Ilja! I was actually thinking and hoping the lack of reply about data deleting was hiding some good news… will try right now!

P.S. Overwrite, not reset :innocent:

Is it possible to duplicate a listing while simultaneous clearing out the images from the previous listing. That would save me some time from having to go in and delete all the images everytime I duplicate.

Feature request that will keep me:

  1. Be able to quickly identify and import details from an ebay listing to garagesale. Typically I find a listing on ebay and I copy its details for the product detail information, UPC, description etc. I’d like to take that information do some small tweaks, add my own pics, add the garage sale theme of my choice (or preset). Currently I see the only method is importing your own listings… and even this takes me a long time at the load screen (have 600 or so listings)

Is there a method that could make this happen?

This should def be possible. They already have a “remove category” details when copying a listing in the preferences section. GarageSale > Preferences > ebay > misc

<command>D will Duplicate a listing. <shift><command>D will Duplicate WITHOUT the images.

Try: <shift><command>D

From GarageSale Help, Creating New Listings:

You can create new listings by duplicating listings that are already present in GarageSale by

  • Selecting the ‘Duplicate Listing’ command from outline view’s context menu.
  • Selecting an existing listing and clicking the duplicate button in the toolbar. Hint: When holding down the shift key when clicking the duplicate button, images won’t be copied over.
  • Selecting an existing listing and invoking the ‘Duplicate’ command from the Edit menu. Hint: When holding down the control key when invoking the “Duplicate” command, you can create an arbitrary number of duplicated listings:

Would it be feasible for you to copy the URL of the listing you want to import into GarageSale?

sure. or just use the item number

Thanks for that… Didn’t realize it was already built in.
