I am preparing an insertion with video on Ebay Italy with GarageSale (with the support of this forum) but I am aware (directly from call ebay Italy) center that video ads are banned on ebay … but then I ask myself: because GarageSale (last version) gives the ability to add video in ebay ads from youtube or vimeo? Is it prohibited only in Italy?

Right now it should be no problem to insert a video.
I guess the eBay support was referring to the upcoming “active content” restrictions starting in June 2017.
Flash videos (e.g. from YouTube) are no longer allowed then. However, eBay said that they want to find ways to show videos from YouTube but didn’t come up with explanations how they will make this possible.

@cirotto ti do un consiglio, lascia stare nel modo più assoluto l’assistenza ebay Italia, non sanno manco come si chiamano e 9 su 10 forniscono informazioni totalmente sbagliate. Non fare mai affidamento a ciò che dicono!! Non sai quanti soldi ho buttato via per colpa loro.
Comunque Kristian ha detto tutto, non è vietato inserire video… per adesso…

certo come dice Kristian per adesso e fino a giugno non è vietato inserire video, dunque posso usare garagesale per inserire dei video… ma per per il periodo successivo a giugno garagesale ha previsto, per inserire video, un codice HTLM5 o qualcosa di simile? oppure è già possibile usarlo da ora?

Figurati! Da quanto mi risulta ancora non si sa come ebay agirà dopo tale data. A mio avviso starei abbastanza tranquillo, per due motivi. In primis, moltissime persone usano youtube e dunque se ne guarderanno bene dall’impedire di aggiungere i video alle inserzioni. In secondo luogo, tieni conto che ancora c’è incertezza totale in merito… e parliamo di ebay, al meeting di Napoli dava una data per le immagini gratis… che prontamente non è stata rispettata (sono arrivate da pochissimo)!
