I open GS 8.3 or 8.4 and make the window as tall as possible, from menubar down to top of dock. I quit GS app.
When I reopen the GS app, the window is always smaller, it should retain the size it was when I closed the app. If I quit and reopen the app it DOES retain this “smaller/shorter” window height, but I REALLY want the main window to be full height, and stay full height all the time. This happens every time.
Dock is always showing, NOT auto hide. Dock is cut-off in photos.
My screen height is 1260, the top of the dock 1158, and the GS window shrinks to 1118. macOS 11.5.2 (20G95). iMac (24-inch, M1, 2021).
It seems like in prior versions of macOS, or on my prior 27" iMac, a few months ago this worked correctly…

Resize height of main window al the way down to the Dock before quitting app:
