Has anyone tried re-indexing, at startup, recently?
Does the ‘range-slider’ actually change during re-indexing?
This is mine after 2 hours when I just gave up and re-installed the duplicate I had made.

No, the progress indicator does not move up forward while indexing is going on.
How the indexing takes depends on how much data you have. Looking at the CPU usage with the Apple’s “Activity Monitor” utility should give you a clue if GarageSale is still busy (100%) or has stalled.
