Anyone know the location and which file to restore from my backup?
To be more specific, EXACTLY which folder contains the data, excluding the photos file as that has over 100,000 photos in it and copy keeps hanging.

It is fairly well hidden (you may need to ‘un-hide’ it).
I got there eventually - there is a FAQ on locating it.

You should be able to find the file on Time Machine, and then restore. I hope it works for you (it didn’t for me, but please persist and take advice from the GS experts who have patience).
I had an issue - see recent thread - regarding GS crashing, which I just could not fix, but I managed to re-name the database in order to disable it and then start afresh.
Thank you for that. I read your post and felt for you as I had the same problem last year. Mine was hopelessly corrupted and I had to re-construct 12,000 listings. Took over a year. I hope you fare better
