Schedule Event Listings Stop Midway

I create an event with 100 listings in a 3 minute interval.

But Garage sale stops at random and then it stops uploading the rest of the way.

Any help?

Do you anything logged in the Console utility (under /Applications/Utilities) around the time when GarageSale stopped listing?

Yesterday the listing stopped at 10:06:30 PM, I list my items at a 2 minute interval. I had about 10 more items that did not get uploaded.

I have copy/pasted everything under Console utility between 10:06:24-10:23:10

I searched “Garagesale” and the next time it comes up is at 10:32:21.

Sorry, nothing unusual from GarageSale in the logs you posted. Was there an error icon next to the scheduled listing in GarageSale’s scheduler view.

No, It just stops at random and won’t upload the rest of the listings.

It’s very frustrating. If I were to schedule 100 listings between 4PM-10PM and then finds out that it stopped at 4:30 PM and only like 10 listings gets uploaded. It won’t even give me a notice that it stopped.

This happens to me all the time. I have brought this to the attention of the GS team many times but nothing seems to change.
Event checker has confirmed all are OK. Those that fail can then be submitted using ‘start auction’ without any problem - but this defeats the purpose of the scheduler of course.

I do not know if the problem lies with:

1. GS scheduler
2. Ebay scheduler

Hey GS guys. How about another daemon process to check if the scheduler has hung and then restart it?

Your and @siming’s problem might sound identical, but it seems they are different. See the last line from the log:

So it seems the scheduler run though all listings, but for some reason some listings where not started or skipped.

Whereas in your case, the scheduler hangs at some point. Unfortunately, we were never able to get down the source of the problem.

Anyway, we completely rewrote the scheduler for GarageSale 7 to make debugging easier. If the scheduler is a top priority for you, I encourage you to try out the current alpha version.

this might be a MAC problem. i had the same thing happening. do you use a wifi connection or hardwire? i am wifi. after a long time on the phone with apple, we determined that macbooks were made to automatically disconnect from the wifi if the computer was idle for a little while. my upload would quit after just a few items and leave hundreds unlisted. hopefully garage sale will write something into the new version to keep the wifi engaged somehow. my fix was to run a bit torrent program – it doesn’t actually have to be uploading or downloading, but just having the torrents open kept the connection going…

Hardwire but I think you maybe correct in your assumption of a connection problem.
I too hope GS include a process to check for stuck events.
