Variations not supported - what to do?

Hello,
Variations are not enabled (“not supported”) for my templates. I sell in Music Instrument and Gear category. I have refreshed eBay categories with no luck.
What should I do to enable this feature?

Hi Olesya,

Please let us know which version of GarageSale you have installed. (Just select ‘About GarageSale’ from the ‘GarageSale’ menu in GarageSale.)
Did you already re-select the category in your auction template?

If this won’t help, which eBay site and which category is this exactly?

Hi Kristian,
Thanks for getting back to me so fast.
When I was re-selcting the category per your advice I realized that eBay just doesn’t support variations in that category (one level up it does, but not at this level). I reviewed my other products with variations and realized they are all in the categories where variations are supported.
I will just use another category and wait for eBay to come around.

P.S. For those who will come across this thread, here is how you can see if the category is supported: in the Inspector, in Options tab click on the First category. When the new window with categories opens up on the bottom you will see either Variations Supported: No or Variations Supported: Yes. It will allow you to discover which categories you can use to enable variations.
