6.9.5 Inspector Closes When I Click On First Category

I can’t change categories, because when I click on “First Category,” my inspector disappears. Help?

I can’t select a category. This is a major problem. Anybody know what is going on with this? 6.9.5

Hi s11,

does it help if you update the eBay category data first? To do so open the GarageSale preferences and update the categories in the Categories tab.
(Make sure the correct eBay site is selected in the GarageSale preferences>General.)

If that won’t help, is there something logged to the Console application’s window (under
/Application/Utilites) at the time you try to add a category?

Good news. Problem solved! My category data was corrupted.

The solution:

Quit GarageSale.
In the Finder navigate to
~ Library/Application Support/GarageSale/Categories*
Delete all files in this folder.
Restart GarageSale, redownload the category data (you maybe see the intro screen the first time you start GarageSale)

  • Please note: Under OS X the user Library is hidden by default! Click the Finder’s Go menu and press the option key (alt) to make the user’s Library show up in the
    menu. Selecting it will open it in the Finder.
