API/Paypal error message on listing attempt

Forgive me, but this is my first inquiry into the Garage Sale Community. I have been on Ebay for over 20 years and just yesterday I listed 10 items without a problem.
today, I had three items rejected with an error notification stating;

“There is an error reading your Ebay accint from the keychain

and another

“Please specify a PayPal account the account preferences” I accepted the Garage Sale update on Version 9. I am on MAC.

Help….Pam

Update to the latest version 9.9.4. That may be the issue

Here is what you should try:

  1. Update to GarageSale 9.9.4, if not done already.
  2. Refresh your eBay access token in the GarageSale preferences > Accounts.
  3. In the GarageSale preferences > Accounts click on “Update Account Details”

If you are still getting that PayPal error, you are probably a) using a (very) old payment profile that still uses the deprecated PayPal option or b) you are maybe using an older GarageSale listing that once used an old PayPal option in the payment panel.
You also might want to check your payment settings in the GarageSale preferences > eBay > New Listings.

If that PayPal error shows a yellow error sign it’s only a warning and you can still upload the listing. You can tell GarageSale to ignore that message in future by right clicking on it and choosing ‘Ignore future warnings like this’.

Thank you Kristin. That did it! Very pleased with your response. So easy to follow.
