Can someone explain, or point me to a post that explains, in depth why the scripts are still not
useable / available for version 7x?
Why can’t the old ones be adapted, is GS7x constructed differently or is it the Mac OS that is the problem?

GarageSale’s Apple Script support has its own chapter in the manual here:

Examply scripts are available, too.
GarageSale 7 highly differs from GarageSale 6, so it’s obvious that scripts for GS6 don’t work for GS7.
