Are Animated Gif's allowed as images?

And will they function in Ebay?

The gif format is allowed on eBay:
http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/pictures.html#standards

However, as far as I know it won’t be shown animated in the eBay gallery - only the first frame will be shown.
GarageSale supports gifs as well, but will show the first frame only, too.

If you want to insert an animated gif in our item description you’d have to host it on your own server and insert it using an HTML img tag.

Thanks Kristian, worked like a charm as I have my own server I can host all my pictures including the gif. It worked out great.
