Bug in item cost not displayed in order section

Hi,

here the second long-time bug of the day.

I enter item’s cost in the specific field in the editor page (second page of right-hand column tab). I expect to see this cost in order section, when I press over the little arrow just next to item’s sale price displayed in the order. However, the pop-up that opens has zero into the cost field. I can send screenshots if needed.

Thank you

Federico

Right now item costs are only copied over from a listing to an order object, when the order is first received from eBay. Later changes to the item cost field are not propagated to any existing orders belonging to that listing.

Couldn’t just use update the item cost field in the order? Wouldn’t that accomplish the same thing?

Hi Ilja,

maybe I did not understand the way item cost works. I suppose it is not showed since live listings are in another Mac, not the one from which I manage order. Is this the reason item cost does not appear?

That’s not a solution for me, since I enter the cost while I am preparing the listing. Then the order might income after many months, it would be impossible to remember the cost, apart checking the original listing where I write the amount months before.

Item cost is a field internal to GarageSale and not exposed to eBay.

The item cost will only appear in the order if the listing it was started from was present on the Mac when an order is received from eBay.

This is the problem. The original listing is in another Mac. The machine that works on orders does not have active/sold listings into the database. Is there any chance to find another solution?
