it’s a long time I want to report this simple but extremely annoying bug in item’s specifics fields. You cannot copy and past text from outside GS directly into an item specific in description. You have to first copy somewhere in GS, then copy and past again into the field. Let me know if you need anything to catch the bug.

This sounds like an issue with the type of text format that is put on the clipboard by the app your are copying the text from. What app is that?
I assume you are trying to paste directly into GarageSale’s preview?

actually I am trying to copy text with cmd-c and cmd-v command. I can paste everywhere in GS, except inside item’s specific fields. If I disable popclip, the bug persists. Were you able to you reproduce it?

I tried a couple listings to see if I can reproduce. Some fields only work with the dropdown menu and some can be highlighted and pasted into with cmd-v. Only those that can be highlighted are allowing paste. I have a Numbers program that works the same way. Some fields only allow dropdown choices.
Copy/Paste in the item specifics fields in Preview mode works like a charm for me.
Did you already try “Paste and match style” instead of just cmd-v? (See the Edit menu)
You maybe need to specific what item specific fields exactly you are referring to by showing a screenshot. I am talking about the editable item specific fields inside Preview mode (above the item description area).

all my item specifics fields are made by myself. I mean, they are not those automatically suggested by ebay. I set my own fields with specific names, let’s give a try to this, maybe that’s the matter.
Works perfectly fine for me with even with custom item specifics.
I am using macOS 15.1 (24B2082) and GS 10.0b6 (1811), but this bug happens on all other Macs with other OS and GS versions. I made a simple video, it simply cannot paste any text previous copied from outside GS. You have to paste it elsewhere in GS (like in the search bar, or in the description), copy again and then you are able to paste it into item specifics. This is very frustrating…

The formatting of the styled text is not yet removed, but it is not saved and gone after a reload of the preview.

I just downloaded this version on the mac which creates listings. I have a good and a bad news. The good one is that the bug of this thread is fixed, copy-paste in item’s specifics fields now work.
BUT there is a major bug now. The applications seems to freeze when we work on item’s specifics by clicking on the right side column “attributes” opening the pop-up window. What’s strange is that no spinning ball appears, the app is not blocked, no crush report, it is simply stuck and I cannot do anything else. We can quit the app (no force quite, just exit) and then the application restart. It must be caused by something you changed in the specifics fields.
Is this happening each time you paste something into an attribute in the preview? I tried to replicate the problem, but the bug did not appear here.
Maybe it’s specific to a certain type of text and a specific category/attribute combination?
If you run into the problem again, please paste the text you are trying to paste into GS into a TextEdit document with styled text (Format menu => Make Rich Text) if it isn’t already. Then send, that .rtf document and the GarageSale listing to me. Also tell me, what attribute you are trying to paste into.
