Error 107 invalid category

I am getting an error 107 invalid category. I have updated categories and they are current, it is musical instruments, sheet music, and it won’t let me list. what is the problem. running garagesale 6.9.7. thanks

update: i was able to relist through eBay…the category is valid on eBay, but is telling garage sale it is not valid. it appears to be a problem between garagesale and eBay with this category. I am able to list auctions with other categories. thanks

This is an eBay error regarding your store categories!
Update your store categories in the GarageSale preferences>Accounts>Store and re-select them in your auction template afterwards.

it is not the store categories, i updated my store categories, restarted the computer and tried to list, same error. I changed to a different store category and same error 107. Other items are listing. clothing vintage is coming up with the same error. it is not the store categories. i was able to relist through eBay, but not through garagesale

What category are you trying to list in? Are you listing on eBay.com or a different eBay site?

The listing that went through was on my eBay on eBay.com. the categories are: musical instruments…sheet music and song books…showtunes. I tried one through garage sale…got the error code, went into my eBay and relisted with no problem on their site. I have over 100 sheet music listings to relist and would rather do it though garagesale. they’ve been listed before through garagesale. The same thing happened with an item in clothing and accessories…vintage clothing…purses. said the category was invalid. I was able to relist my postcards with no problem. thanks

Just to make sure, you are listing in category #1458 as shown in the attached screenshot?

yes that is the category i used

i think it does it on all of the sheet music categories

Can you export your listing template and sent it to me (File menu > Export Template)? You should be able to drag into a reply box on this site. If you get a file size warning, please compress it as .zip file.

I am having the same issue in vintage clothing. I have zipped the file but it is still too large to attach.

Seems eBay updated some of there categories, e.g. the “Theater, Showtunes” is no longer there.

Please update your category data in GarageSale’s Preferences > Categories once more, pick an appropriate substitution category and you should be good to go.

the same thing is happening the vintage accessories handkerchiefs…i will see if the updating the categories works for that too and let you know. thanks for you help
