GarageSale 8.3 Beta 7 Released

Dear GarageSale Users,

GarageSale 8.3 Beta 7 is available for you to download from this link:

What’s new in this beta version

  • work around missing items in the Main window toolbar on macOS Big Sur
  • icons for listings in the Main window outline view should reflect listing state changes more quickly
  • Shipping options panel: package weight can always be edited when ‘calculated shipping’ is used for either domestic or international shipping

What’s new in GarageSale 8.3

  • runs natively on Macs with Apple Silicon chips
  • minimum macOS is requirement is now raised to macOS 10.14 Mojave
  • fixed a crash when updating incomplete local listings with data from eBay
  • text snippet macros are now supported in the Condition description
  • category popover shows category tree version in sprocket menu when option key is held down
  • Bulk Search & Replace panel: added an “Exact search” option for finding the exact search strings, including HTML tags. This option bypasses GarageSale’s search index and scans through the entire library using brute force, thus it’s a little slower than the regular search

Thanks for using GarageSale,
The GarageSale team

In GarageSale v8.3b7 (1259) the “Update Listing” (there is no menu command) and “Designs” toolbar icons no longer show up…

Maybe just make a “fixed” toolbar with ALL icons (and tooltip text), and activate/deactivate icons based on context.

Using macOS 10.15.7 (19H15)

v8.3b7 (1259):

@ilja Thanks for adding the shipping weight to the panel. It has been one of them things that always made me click 3 extra times to add the weight. I also concur with @Neal on the missing tool bar items. Perhaps while working on tool bar items a “relist” and “revise” button could be added? The drop down menu makes an extra step to the process of relisting and revising.

Sorry for this. Seems my late night “improvements” of the bug fix nullified parts of the bug fix. Beta 8 should cure the toolbar problems for good (famous last words).

Thanks, feedback noted!

b8 is much better!

How about adding a “Update Listing” menu item with <command>-R (for Reload) to the “Listing” menu to match the “Update Listing” toolbar icon??
