Garagesale 9.41 wont boot "corruption: xxx missing files: e.g.: Users etc"

I restored from a mojave backup and went to open garagesale 9.4.1 and get the error above related to the library .leveldb/xxxx. Tried contacting iwascoding support several times but no response. Anyone know what the problem might be? I went into time machine and back afew days and reloaded the garagsale library in question but same error.

Removed the garagesale 9 folder and it made a new one and I was able to boot and install my license code. Its working again but missing lots of listings. Anyone know where the listing files are located so I can import them again from a recent time machine backup?

The error indicates that there is an issue with the database folder that you transferred from your backup.

Some ideas:

  1. Download the latest version of GarageSale since version 9.4.1 is pretty old. You can download GarageSale 9.9.1 from the GarageSale website.
  2. Browse your TM backup through Finder (not through Time machine) and manually transfer the GarageSale 9 database (“com.iwascoding.garagesale9”) folder to the corresponding location on your Mac.
  3. See FAQ #29 for instructions how to locate the GarageSale 9 database folder.
  4. If you still get that database error message on startup your GarageSale database most likely is corrupted. If you are lucky there might be ways to repair it but I can’t promise anything. I will send you instructions in reply to one of your support request.

That’s because it was night time here in Germany when you sent your messages. Please always give us some time to reply to support requests, thank you.
