Installed the Beta (9.9.3B (1720)) but still getting the popup (Safari Facebook) - any settings suggestions I should enable/disable?

Is it still this exact URL that opens in your Safari?: https://www.facebook.com/tr/

Yes that’s the URL – It is still happening under the beta for me as well

Yes - the /tr/ directory from Facebook - also impacts Chrome when I set it to Default Browser - if it helps I tend to see it right after listing or revising something - not always, but this seems to be a common time.

To help us diagnose this further it would be super helpful, if you could provide with some logs. Please follow these steps:

  1. Quit GarageSale, if running.

  2. Open the “Terminal” application, paste in the following commands and hit the enter key:

defaults write com.iwascoding.garagesale9 logLevel 9

  1. Open “Console” app (in Applications/Utilities), click on “Start Streaming”

  2. Start GarageSale and trigger the Facebook page.

  3. Go back to “Console” app again and search for decidePolicyForWebViewNavigationAction

  4. Copy the output, save it into a Text file and post it here or send it to us. Thank you!

I too am having this Facebook page opening issue. I use Google Chrome though as compared to Firefox and Safari. I did try the Settings / Ebay / Advanced tweak as mentioned above but haven’t clicked on anything before coming here to type this reply. @kristian you mentioned a fix in a beta? Thanks for the help!

Since I’m not having this problem I’m fundamentally curious: What do you all think is happening here? Is it that I never have GS open a “live” auction at all? Or something external?

Mainly asking to avoid it happening in future.

Started happening to me about two weeks ago. So utterly annoying. I will try some of the recommendations in this thread. I use Chrome.
