How to properly use the variation feature when putting multiple items in one listing

I’ve been fumbling around with trying to list multiple cassette titles in one listing, so an eBay buyers can choose one or more items from an extensive listing. Please point me to the appropriate instructions which will elaborate in more detail than the “Setting Up Variation Items” found in the on-line help manual. My goal is to create a listing with a drop-down box that lists the various items, each of which has a specific photo and possibly a different price. Thank you!

You first go to Inventory mode and create an inventory item for each cassette. Add images there.

If done, you create a listing and select the appropriate category, then you add the variations as described in the help.
