I want that 2nd picture to always be the last in all of my auctions.
I have a default template and its the only picture (because i want it to be in all of my auctions). I then add 4 pictures per auction. Is there a way after I add 4 pictures it will now be the last one like this
Another thing you could do:
You keep that default image in your default listing. Whenever you add additional images you only do this in Editor Mode by dropping the images ABOVE the default image.
@miamiwax select that single listing, switch to editor mode, select the photo, cmd-c on the image you want to keep, then select a group of listings and press cmd-v. This way the image you copied will be automatically added to all selected listings. BUT it will be the last one, moving to second place is very time consuming and I gave up looking for a solution for this. Anyway this trick works great.
P.S. most of all, we should ask ourself how it is possible that after 20+ years ebay still doesn’t find a smart way to combine orders (and a small “ask total” link that none sees, available only from desktop site, is a real tease). This is one of my life’s existential question…
I’ve literally just been explaining to a customer why if (1) I send them an offer that (2) they accept, they are forced to pay immediately despite wanting to combine with other items in their Cart, but (3) if they bought it “spontaneously” they could still use the cart and make the request.
We should really ask how it is possible to pay 11++% on our sales for such a service. I am totally sure we all would increase our sales if there were a decent way to manage combined orders (at least for those who sell collectibles and use postal services which postages change every 50 grams of weight…). No hope…
To stay in topic, in past I tried a solution like that of @miamiwax , but didn’t work. It means that buyers not only don’t read description, they also don’t scroll photos. Or more probably, they are not able to understand a written sentence. I really lost my hopes on this matter.
I have a suspicion that ebay is relying on AI to do the heavy lifting on combining purchases. When combining ebay wont add weight up and give a price they combine one 4 oz package cost of say $4 and a second 4 oz one at $4 and ebay says $8 but if you combine 2 weights of 4 ounces it should give a price of $5. Try explaining that to customer service.
