I’d like to see a list of exactly what account settings GS can view and manage.
How do you opt out of GS tracking your listings?
GarageSale can read all account settings made available by eBay through the Account API, which are listed here:Account API resources | eBay Developers Program
We don’t modify any of these settings at the moment, but we thinking about building in an editor for business profiles at some point.
There is no way to opt-out of being listed on the “Listings made with GarageSale” page.
The preferences allow you to remove the Made with GarageSale logo if GS is not in demo mode.
Yet when you do that GS is still inserting hidden HTML in the description in order to allow the listing to be tracked, such as the examples below.
That should be disclosed on your privacy statement since the user can only remove those by going to eBay and doing one or more bulk edits to all their listings and remove such text.
Something I would expect out of dishonest eBay.
