I am relatively new to GarageSale 7. For the most part I am really impressed by it.
One problem I keep having is that my cost for certain items will not stay. I can put a price and a cost in for an inventory item, look at something else, go back to that inventory item and the price and cost are gone! It does not say that it was 0.00, but the fields are blank.
I have been trying to figure out a pattern so I can avoid the problem, but so far I have not found one. Any suggestions?
What version of GarageSale, and what version of macOS are you using?
Also, when the prices disappear from the inventory item, do you see anything that looks like an error logged from GarageSale to the Console utility (under /Applications/Utilities)?
For GarageSale, I am using 7.0.6 (791).
I am running MacOS Sierra 10.12.3.
I have not tried looking at the logs right after a price disappears. Often, I don’t realize that the price and cost have disappeared until I am listing the item on eBay and I am decided what I need to make based on my original cost. The next time it happens for a new item I will take note of the time and look in the logs.
Here is what happens when I attempt to add the price and cost to an existing item where the price and cost always disappear. I added the price and cost, went a couple of fields past them, went to a different item, then came back to verify that the price and cost had disappeared.

Unfortunately that log didn’t included any clues.
If this only is happening with a single inventory item, my guess is that something is wrong with that very item. I suggest you copy all relevant info to a new inventory item and delete the old one.
It is happening to a number of inventory items, not just one.
I am happy to delete the items, but how can I reuse the SKU that I used for those items.
Once you deleted an inventory item, and emptied the trash in the inventory section, you should be free to re-use the SKU in a new inventory item.
Please try this with a single inventory item first, and see if the error indeed goes away.
