Navigating to orders from listing?

So I discovered a very, very hidden feature in the orders screen - if you happen to right click a certain area near the “ordered items” area, a pop up menu will show up that says, “show listing”. It feels very random where I have to click on and can be very frustrating to try and find - is there any way to make this a button somewhere? Or a toolbar icon with a keyboard shortcut?

But my main question is going the other way - I have a sold listing that I wish to get to the order screen for. I’ve right clicked on the entry on the left pane and randomly right clicked in the listing area, hoping for another hidden “show order” button. Is there any way to go to the order from the listing screen? This would be very useful. Thanks!

Seconded. This would probably need to be a one-to-many relation though, since as far as I understand it, people can sell many orders from one listing, right?

Also, the random place I always right-click in the Orders view that works every time is the thumbnail of the item shown in the main window.

Thank you for the thumbnail tip! I will use that! And yes, just yesterday I had someone order 9 items. 8 in one order, and 1 in a separate order. The 2 orders had 2 order IDs, so it is easy, IMO, to link to those. Or just the SKU. That’s what I have to do now, and it seems so….manual. Eg: I copy the SKU from the listings page, go to the orders page, paste the SKU in the search field. The SKU is part of the order data in GS [though perhaps not everyone uses the optional SKU field, so order-ID would be the best to link. Or the eBay Listing ID number which is just above the SKU on the order page.

Yes there is. Select the sold listing. Then switch to “live”, then in right side tab select “order“ and you will see a list of orders with a → icon. Pressing it, will open the related order

The easiest way is to right-click on the thumbnail image inside the “Ordered Items” list. If users find this feature helpful, implementing a button/icon actually is a good idea.

That “show listing” feature is documented in the manual here:

(The hint at the very bottom.)

See the Inspector’s “Orders” tab in Live mode:

Awesome! Thank you! I’ve never understood the purpose of the “live” view as it just shows eBay as a signed out account and once I’ve listed an item, I don’t look at the listing on eBay anyway. But the right sidebar has some useful info - wish this was available in the normal preview mode.

I did notice that it still works even when eBay doesn’t load the sold listing [eg: for items sold more than 90 days]; eBay will display a not found or just display someone else’s item for sale, but the sidebar still has the name of my customer with the → arrow [I also found double clicking the line opens the order too].

Thank you, thank you, thank you! This saves me having to copy and paste the SKU from one screen to another.

I’ve noticed that in the inspector pane, the tabs often don’t change or only change a bit. Between Editor and Preview, the 3 tabs are 100% identical. With Live, 2 tabs are added - Status and Orders, but Properties [which doesn’t seem to do anything in Live mode] is still there.

Putting Status and Order in all inspectors, so there are 5 tabs total that are consistent between the 3 views - is that something that could be considered. Obviously Orders would not show any data for an item not listed, but then the Properties tab, for Live mode, is still shown and doesn’t have much link to the content in the main pane.

Since going between Editor and Preview keeps the inspector tabs the same, it seems like having Live behave the same would be consistent. Having the 5 tabs on the top of that inspector would result in less clicking and such as well. Just an idea.
