In my listing https://www.ebay.com/itm/232342099480 eBay flagged this as non-secure. When I opened the source code in Safari and did a search, there is a http in a metadata tag of an image. (Line 31). Is this what’s causing the problem?
I ran the link repair in GS but it returned no changes.
the three images in your listings are missing. They are too old and no longer available on the GarageSale server. You need to re-upload the images. Revising the listing from within GarageSale should do the trick (unless it’s a listing imported from eBay!).
If it’s a listing imported from eBay, you’d need to remove the img tags from the HTML in Editor mode. The URLs can’t be simply changed to “https” because the images don’t exist on the server.
I have the same issue as Steve_Elliot had, except its for 479 listings lol. Is there a way of getting these listings into a group so I only have to edit the actual listings, instead of having to trawl through garage sale, looking for the right listings to edit. I have nearly 3000 listings and this will be a major pain inn the backside lol.
Any help will be greatly received. Thanks in advance,
This listing was started with an older versoin of GarageSale 7, version 7.0.7.
It uses an old version of the design and footer and the “unsecure” http protocol for the image.
Did you already update to GarageSale 7.0.9 or better 7.0.10 and followed the steps listed here?:
Thanks for the help Kris, but we did this when it was needed the other month, but clearly looks like some fell through the gaps lol, what would you suggest doing to fix this?
Could you export one of the listings in question using GarageSale’s export function (File menu > Export Listings) and post it here or send it to the GarageSale support so we can have a closer look at it?
It is an ended listing. (at least that’s the staus displayed here) An ended listing can’t be revised.
It’s not a listing “imported from eBay”.
It does not contain “forbidden” code or content.
The ended listing that you can see in “Live” mode was started with an earlier version of GarageSale and contains non-compliant content as I wrote earlier.
If you revise a listing from within GarageSale 7.0.9 or higher or start a new listing, it shouldn’t contain non-compliant content as long as you restore the default footer.
Ah, that’s my bad, I’ll send an active one in the morning when I’m back at work. Thank you for all your help and I apologise for being a bit moronic lolol
