It seems random, as I have found no pattern, but often times the smart groups for orders expands. I’ve not told any of the groups to expand, but when moving to the orders page, I see they have, or after I ship an order. I then have to scroll all the way back to the top of the pane to close the group. This has happened for a long time, and it’s just been getting more annoying the more items that are in those smart groups. Is there any way to get them to behave properly and not open unless a user clicks the > area?
@rlmartin I think you reported something else: You was talking about the arrow that toggles the whole smart group area in Listing mode. (at least that’s what your screenshot shows) @vjl is talking about self-expanding smart groups in Order mode that he then needs to close again.
@kristian That’s correct. It’s just the individual smart groups that expand [and only one at a time, and seemingly random but when an item has been paid for and ebay tells GS that it has shipped, I do notice the All Sold or Feedback Received smart groups expanding [only one of them] if I stay in the Orders screen when that happens. If I move to listings and later go to the Orders screen then the smart groups stay collapsed. I recently made an All Sold so I can better sort my sold orders. But before that, it would expand the Feedback Received smart group which I think is one that comes built in with GS. I do keep Waiting for Payment and Ready to Ship always expanded, and they do remain expanded even if empty.
It’s the 2 that have a lot of entries in them that seem to want to expand for my attention.
It does seem to expand pretty consistently if I hit that refresh/reload toolbar icon -the one that is a circular arrow going clockwise. Clicking that after shipping an order in Endicia [which automatically gives eBay the tracking number which is then sent to GS when I manually refresh, or automatically every 5 minutes], seems to cause the bottom most smart group to expand, and highlight the order I was on.
