Problem with UPC field for Brand New items in DVD category

I sell CDs and DVDs.

In the last week I’ve not been able to list Brand New DVDs due to a new error saying ‘The UPC field is missing. Please add UPC to the listing and try again’.

The barcode is entered in the barcode field. I’m not sure of the difference with barcode and UPC.

If I alter the condition of the listing from Brand New to Like New, the error message goes away and the listing can go live. Once live, if I try to revise the listing to Brand New I get the same error message and it will not revise.

There is no issue with selling Brand New CDs.

I am using the current version of GS.

Any help or workaround is welcome.

So I’ve noticed something similar in past few days with the DVD category as well.

Instead of throwing an error, it just doesn’t populate on eBay, even with the barcode field populated in GS (9.9.5).

Also in the same category, if no Country of Origin is populated in GS, eBay has been automatically populating to Australia.

Hi - Curious if you had any trouble listing if the condition was set to Brand New?

If you are, I’ve got it working again now with the help of Kristian – I’m now using the Beta version of GS10 with a token refresh and also fresh prompt of Update Categories.

No I think of the seven or so I uploaded last weekend were all Like New – and it wasn’t consistent. Of those maybe four ignored the UPC on the live listing. Pushing a revision in GS, did nothing, so I just made the addition in eBay.

I did a Catagory refresh, but I likely won’t work on anymore listings until the weekend to do some more testing.
