Reports are Way Off

In all these years I’ve used GS, never once were the reports anywhere close to what eBay reports what my sales and fees are. I know I am very late getting last year’s taxes done but the report for last year is 86% lower than what eBay has for sales and fees. It has never been right and it makes doing my taxes very difficult every year. It takes days to jump from the eBay sale amount and fees, and then go back to GS to get the item cost of each item I sold.

Now that eBay has a space to put in the item cost, everything I need to sell on eBay is now on eBay. With the report feature never accurate, I am seeing a reason the leave GS and go all the way with listing on eBay.

Can you perhaps find a way to add the item cost to the eBay listing now that they have room for it? I know it is in GS but that one very thing was never an option. If GS can make it an option, then my bookkeeping is a hundred times easier. The reports feature is completely useless.

I think there’s no public field in any of eBay’s API yet, that would allow GarageSale to post your private item cost to eBay. Could you send me a screenshot where you see that field on the eBay website, which I could attach to a feature request to eBay’s API team?

Is there a single, easy-to-spot reason where the difference comes from? Is GarageSale missing sales?

Here is the screen shot of where eBay now allows you to put in your cost. Other than all of their ridiculous rules and discrimination, everything you need to run a business is all contained within eBay. As far as the reports go, without going through every single sale in comparison, I cannot tell the cause of the discrepancy. It has never been right but this time it is so far off, it scares me. I cannot use any of that information to do my bookkeeping. I will have to update this post when I do that comparison I guess.
