Scheduler blank event always present?

Near the top of the scheduler there is a blank area. If I right click it, it looks like an event. But I can not enable it nor delete it. And yet it takes up the same amount of vertical space as an event in the list would. Can this be removed somehow? Thanks.

This is an issue with your scheduler. It looks like a “ghost” event to me.
You can’t drag it and clicking the minus button at the bottom left does nothing, I guess?

I can drag it, yay! But sadly, that’s all I can do. I can’t add items to it. I can’t delete it. :frowning: If I try to delete it, the only thing that happens is the Account: dropdown resets to nothing [normally it defaults to my default - my only eBay account I use with GS]. But yes, I can drag it. It just won’t delete. Nor can I add listings to it. How can I delete this ghost?

I should have added - I was right clicking to attempt to delete it, but I did also try clicking the minus button at the bottom while it is highlighted, and it does not go away. I wonder if this is one reason my Scheduler is whacky? [the scrolling on its own issue, if I am dragging something in a different GS window]. I’d still like to get syncing working so I can test this on my laptop and so I have a good backup of the 1000s of items for sale and sold. The busy season has started for me 2 days ago and so I don’t have a lot of time to test stuff, but seeing that I have 2 different database folders [one with hardly anything in it] - perhaps something needs cleaned up? [see my other thread with screenshots of the folders in my ~/Library ]

Is there any way I can delete this ghost empty entry?
GarageSale Scheduler 2024-09-11 21-45-26

I’m in the dark here, but maybe GarageSale’s repair mechanism can help:

  1. Start GarageSale and immediately click and hold down the ctrl-key on your keyboard.

  2. A small window should appear allowing you to enable “debug options”.

  3. Select “Repair hierarchy”, “Find orphaned listings” and “Remove ghost children from groups”, then hit Continue.

  4. Give GarageSale some time to startup.

Woohoo! That worked! The ghost is gone, and it took no time at all for GS to start up with those options checked.

Thank you! Now to figure out how to get syncing to work…
