Site seems to resort back to old prices when auto relisting items even if you revise the price when its active

I revise certain listings to a new price while its still active within the Garagesale app but when the site relists the item since its on auto relist after I think 30 days, the site ends up using the old price data once they relist it even though GarageSale uses the new price I changed it to previously?

What am I doing wrong or anything I can do to correct this?

That sounds odd. Did you check the price on the live listing on eBay after you made the revise from within GarageSale?

Yea its strange. I do revise on certain items, then the site relists it after 30 days (not sure the time frame) it will relist it to the old pricing instead of what I had revised inside GarageSale.

I think its a site issue and not GS issue but maybe its a setting I have on?

When you do a revise, are you revising the entire record, or just select parameters? If the latter, “Price” is check marked right? The window remembers the last selected checkboxes and I had a user error [eg: my own!] where I had changed just the shipping info on a bunch of listings and when I went to revise prices, I forgot to checkmark the Price box and so I ended up revising the shipping options on those listings instead. Maybe something like that happened if you are using “revise selected properties only” in the launch control window.

Thanks for this, will check this out. I think this could be it perhaps.

What I am also doing is closing some listings completely (store items) and then relisting them with the pricing I want. That way it gets the info from the ‘new’ listing I am listing instead of a revision.

But thank you for your reply, I will see if this is happening, I think you are on to something because I do have the price unchecked on revisions I believe. Thanks again.

Aaaah, yeah, the close and relist feature does, by default, use all properties so it would definitely grab the new price. For revisions you can do the same - have it update all fields so that way you don’t have the chance of forgetting a checkbox like I have. I have a very slow internet connection so I tend to do select properties as it is quicker for me.

I just checked - when doing the “relist…” feature, the dropdown, for me, defaults to “Relist with all changes” - make sure that is selected. It also has “relist without changes” and “Relist with selected changes”. I keep it to “all changes” that way price revisions, title revisions, etc, all get updated with the re-listing.
