Updating Index causing app to crash on startup NEED HELP

yesterday, i went to open Garage Sale and my Mac threw up an error message that the application was damaged and needed to moved to the trash. Im a long time user and this has happened in the past. So i deleted the app and reinstalled. This is were things changed and i can no longer use the application. It installed fine, but now every time i open the application, it starts running an index update and then stops responding. Ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times. I’ve updated my OS, same. I checked my activity monitor and it appears the application is using a TON of real memory. I am a complete moron when it comes to diagnosing and resolving computer issues so I have no clue what to do here. GS is essential to running my business and im kinda stuck here with no ability to list at all on ebay. If anyone has encountered this problem or has a solution, please help me. thank you

Can you please follow these instructions to gather a little diagnostic data? This way we maybe can see why GarageSale is not responding.

  1. Open the “Activity Monitor” application (under /Application/Utilities)

  2. Launch GarageSale.

  3. In “Activity Monitor” quickly select GarageSale from the list of running applications in Activity Monitor

  4. Chose “View” menu > “Run Spindump” (Activity Monitor will probably ask you for an admin password at this point)

  5. Wait one minute, save the spin dump log, and post it here (as a zip file)

it doesnt allow for me to save as .zip only .txt. again im an idiot

Spindump.txt (3.9 MB)

but the application actually indexed and opened now. so im assuming its resolved
