Variations in eBay Listing Showing Errors

Every so often, I use the variations feature for a listing. It’s super easy when you list thru eBay directly. I am not sure why I cannot get it to work thru iSale!?

I’m offering some seeds … in two colors (pink, white) and three different quantity packets (25+, 50+, 100+) for a total of 6 variations. This is pretty straightforward in my opinion. I already listed this once, and this is the relist so I’m wondering if that’s an issue. Originally, it had a color drop-down, then a second drop-down with a quantity on the eBay page.

The live listing is only showing pink and white options in one drop-down. There is no quantity drop-down (It’s defaulting to the 50+ price.

I went back to Garage Sale and now I have errors when trying to revise, so I guess that should be helpful?

I cannot use “Quantity” (I guess as a variation) so I chose the preset “MPN” (sure?)

And I keep getting different error messages … here’s the latest when I tried to revise

Is this something easy that I can fix? I hope that I am missing something really straightforward to get these items corrected, thanks!

I am not quite sure you can change or add variation specifics of an already running listing through GarageSale.

It might be a better idea to end the listing and then create a new one with the correct variation settings.

Unfortunately Kristian is right, as the eBay API does not allow adding new dimensions names (in your case “quantity”) to an existing live listing.

Launching a new listing with both “color” and “quantity” is the best option. Sorry…

MAKE SURE!!! that you have the button UNCHECKED for "Use ‘Quantity Left’ as new quantity. I get this notice every time I try to update a “variations” listing. Every listing I have was started on GS. Sometimes the only option is to end the listing and start it again and it will load without the red flags

This was a brand new listing that had this problem with variations.

I only went in to try and “revise it” when I saw that it was wrong up on eBay.

In this case I don’t care about the qty because I have a lot of these; additionally the whole auction is wrong (it’s not showing the correct drop downs) so I’m going to have to take it down and redo it thru eBay online
