Variations Optimization

I am selling sports card which hace 100-200+ variations. I am able to use the import function to import my items from a csv. But creating the variations is sooooo time consuming.

Is there a way that when you can drag multiple inventory items at once onto the Variation Name (Card Selection) - it then uses the title field to populate the selection drop down for all the items I want to inclue. Instead of clicking the plus button, dragging the 1 item in. Cut/paste the title into the drop down. Rinse and repeat 200x and you have wasted over an hour. Ther has to be an easier way to do this.

As far as I know currently the only way to bulk-add variations to a listing is to

a) use the XML import function (you find a sample XML there, too)

or b) use Apple Script. Select “Show AppleScript Examples” from GarageSale’s Help menu and see the “Add Variations” script there.

Both might not be ideal for what you are trying to do, unfortunately.

Yeah that is actually more cumbersome than the current method. Even if it would auto-populate the drop down based with the SKU or Title or other field.

I am going to see how it goes this month, but right now - this is going to be a major deal breaker for me. I can upload a list of variations on inkfrog via a comma delimited list. While its a pain to setup it is easier then this method curerently.
