"Checking your browser before you access eBay."

Hi,
When I list an item I’m not getting the listed page show up within GS, just a white page with the message “Checking your browser before you access eBay.”

I have made sure I’m updated to the latest GS version, I’ve refreshed ebay tokens just in case, but no good.

Any ideas why this is happening, never seen it before.

My ebay accounts are working fine, and when I list something it is uploading as normal to my account, but the browser is not showing within the GS window and will not proceed to show the listing just this message

Thanks

This is worth a try:

  1. Quit GarageSale if running
  2. Open Safari and login with your eBay account on the eBay website.
  3. Check if you have any ad blocker installed or other Safari extension that could cause trouble.
  4. Start GarageSale and check the Live view once again.

Hi Kristian,

I have no idea why but its now just started working again, I didn’t actually do anything except take a 30 min break? anyway thanks for the reply appreciate it.

eBay made a lot of behind the scenes changes in the last 48 hours to their html and JavaScript. Some of this is visible in Seller Hub for some sellers, and there’s some changes to the pages buyers see as well. I’d be willing to bet while they were updating the site with those changes, things didn’t quite go as planned, and that resulted in some areas not working well, like your view of the site in GS.

Just an update to this.

It is still happening on a daily basis.

GS works fine, after I stop several listings and relist them the same blank screen appears with the message as mentioned before.

If I leave GS for a period of time and come back its working again.

So yeah it must be something ebay has done thats conflicting with GS somehow.
