GarageSale 10.2 Beta 1 Released

Dear GarageSale Users,

the first beta version of GarageSale 10.2 is available from this URL:

https://downloads.iwascoding.com/downloads/GarageSale_10.2b1.dmg

What’s new in GarageSale 10.2

  • AI Generator: checkboxes for listing details can now be pre-selected for all listings prior to generation start, holding down option key toggles checkboxes for all listings once results have arrived
  • fixed a bug where category metadata could be lost when updating too many categories at once (hopefully fixed ‘No condition’ issue)
  • Synching conflicts: auto-cancel is only executed on the Mac that enabled it (or relisted the listing), similar to auto-restart (read below)
  • show a warning icon in Editor and Preview mode if an image is too small (below 500px on any side)
  • Listing section: moved ‘Sort by Title’ command back to the top level of the outline view context menu
  • Listing section: added an ‘Shipping Profile’ column to the overview table
  • Listing section: listing title can be changed from overview table
  • faster report generation for libraries with lots of variation listings

Syncing with auto-restart and auto-cancel

GarageSale 10.2 fixes synchronization conflicts that showed up every time listings were automatically cancelled or restarted while several Macs were using the same sync account. In some cases, this bug also created duplicate copies of running listings.

GarageSale 10.2 changes the sync data format, so please update all your Macs to 10.2 before syncing again.

If you were affected, please do the following once, on the Mac that should handle automatic restarts and cancellations:

  1. Select all listings that use Automatic Restart or Auto-cancel. A smart group with the rule “Auto Restart is enabled” or “Auto Cancel Enabled is enabled” makes this easy.
  2. In the Inspector, switch Automatic Restart off and on again. Do the same for Auto-cancel. From then on, only this Mac restarts and cancels these listings, and any “Autorestart options were enabled on a different Mac” errors are cleared.
  3. If the “Synchronization Conflicts” window still lists conflicts from before the update, check the new “Apply to all conflicts” option and click “Use Version in the Cloud” to resolve all of them at once.

Step 3 recommends “Use Version in the Cloud” because it’s for the second Macs. If someone opens the conflict window on the Mac that does the work, “Use Version on this Mac” would be the right choice there.

Thanks for using GarageSale,
