GarageSale 7.0.6 Beta 6 Released

Dear GarageSale Users,

GarageSale 7.0.6 Beta 6 is available for you to download from URL below or the built-in update mechanism.

https://downloads.iwascoding.com/downloads/GarageSale_7.0.6b6.dmg

What’s new in this Beta version

  • using image editing extensions from the image context menu (like Apple’s “Markup”) works again
  • re-ordering images in Preview mode now works in all layouts
  • waits for all active operations to finish before quitting
  • more crash fixes

What’s new in GarageSale 7.0.6

  • built-in image editor can be zoomed and scrolled
  • on startup, GarageSale selects the items that were last selected
  • double-clicking an image in preview mode will now open the built-in editor
  • added smart group rules for ‘auto restart’ and ‘did use auto-restart’
  • clicking the ’paid’ checkbox for orders or transactions is now reflected on eBay
  • shows warning when ‘paid’ or ‘shipped’ checkbox changes cannot be uploaded to eBay because there’s no internet connection
  • Best offer: auto accept and auto decline field can contain the same value without raising an error
  • image context menu in inventory section works again
  • when uploading listings, url-based images sourced from linked inventory items are handled correctly
  • source list select and shows newly created items again
  • Image Editor: filters are no longer applied to crop mask
  • in the attributes panel, GarageSale will download 6000 suggestions per attribute instead of 50
  • ‘Live’-inspector in listing section summarizes current bid, bid count and views when multiple listings are selected
  • will no longer download orders from eBay, when the previous update operation hasn’t finished yet
  • adds an ‘Activity’ window, so you can see what operations GarageSale is currently executing
  • the “Relist without changes”-option in the Auto-restart settings has been replaced by an “Relist with image and description changes”-option. Relist with changes could have led to missing images, when the images of the original listing had been already expired.
  • various crash fixes

System Requirements

  • GarageSale 7 requires OS X 10.10 or later

Thanks for using GarageSale,

What about these??

in my opinion this is a terrible fail. when I am in a hurry and need to switch off, it requires me hours before closing GS and then switching off my laptop. Terrible… maybe useful, but find another solution, like a sort of pause that restarts after the next opening… but not this waiting pleaseee!!

Sorry, you cannot have both: 100% reliable auto-relisting and quitting GarageSale at any point in time.

Ah I see… fine, I will wait

If you turn off automatic listing & order download, and only trigger this process manually from the menu, you shouldn’t be caught off-guard when quitting GarageSale while it is doing a lengthy operation in the background

@ilja I see, but it is much useful that GS is always downloading orders and info… otherwise, if I need them, I have to wait a lot before downloading is terminated. Anyway, I think I will just leave it opened…

I take the opportunity for a new question I have in mind. Is it possible to know how many Mb does GS download and upload? I need this info because I want to be sure my fiber is enough and does not cause this slow speed of activities…

Check the Network tab in Apple’s Activity Monitor activity for GarageSale. It has a Received Bytes column that should tell exactly that.

Ah fine, I will take it under control… in the meanwhile, @ilja do you think a fiber 30 Mb up/down may be fine? Does GS download or upload more? Relisting, I suppose, means uploading, am I right?

Concerning the other waiting feature… I need to find another solution :unamused: I don’t feel safe closing the laptop while GS is terminating the relisting and put it into the bag while it works…
